The progress we made after two weeks

Hi All,

First I want to give everyone a big shout out, the support and love I'm getting growing this website, and making things better and more interesting for you all!

So we're up and running now for about two weeks.

We now have an instagram account for the website: https://www.instagram.com/boombapjournal/ check it out, and follow us.

The changes we have implemented on the front-end for you:

### 📅 Dates & "On This Day"

* **New Look & Name:** The "Events" section is now called **Dates**, featuring a clean, compact 2-column grid layout with larger cover images.

* **Historic Milestones:** Look out for special "Released XX years ago" labels for classic hip-hop milestones.

* **Today's Highlight:** The homepage now automatically features today's exact date or historic anniversary as the main cover story.

* **Date Details:** Clicking a date takes you to a dedicated page complete with rich text, a photo slideshow, a built-in music player, and easy calendar sharing.

* **Smart Filtering:** A "What's next" filter lets you browse past or upcoming events smoothly by month.

### 📰 News & Weekly Overviews

* **Weekly Roundups:** A new automated "Week Overview" article bundles all the news, releases, and dates from the past 7 days into one place, featuring clickable cards for easy browsing.

* **Better Layouts:** Media, text, and long links now wrap perfectly on mobile screens without cutting off.

### 💿 Releases & Reviews

* **Upgraded Music Players:** A new, compact "Listen" button embeds Spotify or Bandcamp players directly into news, releases, reviews, and dates.

* **Better Pre-Orders:** Pre-order details now stand out clearly above the YouTube video embeds.

* **Mobile Enhancements:** On phones, images are now fully zoomable, titles scale beautifully, and music players/links are repositioned right under the images for easier tapping.

### 🗺️ Navigation & Links

* **Cleaner Links:** Web addresses (URLs) are now much cleaner and easier to read (e.g., `/dates/your-favorite-album`).

* **Tablet Menu:** The top menu now neatly collapses into a mobile "hamburger" icon on tablets so the screen never looks cluttered.
